From a young age, Nic has had an eagerness to build and understand modern technology. Throughout his youth, computer technology advanced rapidly which allowed him to engage in the use of computers from a young age.
He studied at UCT, graduating with first class honours in a BSc in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. As his degree progressed he developed a passion for the field of computer science, knowing for certain that his career path would involve it greatly. At UCT, for his final year project, Nic designed and built a Snooker-Playing Robotic Platform. This platform used various image processing techniques and algorithms to allow for the robot to play and sink pool balls completely autonomously.
Nic has a strong understanding of the engineering sciences but an even stronger desire for continually acquiring new knowledge and improving the way in which he solves problems.
