Devin grew up on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal where he was raised with a keen interest for the environment. His enthusiasm for agriculture stems from his love for the outdoors and his passion for a sustainable environment.
He studied at the University of Stellenbosch graduating with a BSc Agric. in Soil and Water Management where he majored in Viticulture and Soil Science. He then went on to complete his MSc in Soil Science with his dissertation titled “Spatial variation, bias and experimental design in agronomic field trials”, where he gained extensive knowledge in GIS and remote sensing.
At Aerobotics, Devin is able to utilise his practical and theoretical knowledge on plant and soil sciences, in combination with GIS and spatial data, to make informed decisions for farmers to improve their management practices and help them farm efficiently.
