Who are we?
Aerobotics is a South African Ag-tech startup focused on providing tree crop protection to farmers through early problem detection and alerts. Our Aeroview platform combines weekly satellite data, drone imagery and scout information to track farm performance on a per-tree basis allowing farmers to take a data-driven approach when optimising the health of their farm.
Our software uses machine learning to identify early stage problems, automatically detect pests and diseases, and guide farmers to these locations. Farmers validate our algorithms in-field and diagnose the specific problems, ultimately advancing the algorithms’ intelligence and benefiting our grower community.

The UX Specialist will work closely with product stakeholders to gather and evaluate customer requirements as well as define and roadmap deliverables to create the best possible user experience.
Create, coordinate and collaborate on UX deliverables including: customer research, persona creation, competitive analyses, experience roadmaps and strategies, sketches, wireframes, screen and user flow diagrams, UI specs, prototypes and other UX deliverables for concept delivery, testing, iteration and development
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure integrity of envisioned experiences pre-launch as well as iteration post-launch
Champion current methodologies and thought leadership for user-centred design during development
Support and balance team recommendations with research, analytics, usability testing, customer insights and other quantitative/qualitative insights
Thoughtfully articulate design decisions and rationale
Ability to juggle multiple projects of varying priorities and pace
2+ years of experience in defining and creating experiences across web and/or mobile applications
Proficiency with Invision or other similar tools
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
An understanding of the latest design trends
Acute attention to detail
Bachelor's Degree required
